Gremio is facing another financial challenge after receiving a notification from Anderlecht, Belgium, regarding the delay in payment for the signing of forward Amuzu. The Belgian club demands around 400,000 euros, approximately R$ 3 million, for a debt dating back to last year when Gremio signed the player for 1.2 million euros in February. The situation is further complicated as Amuzu's contract with Gremio runs until the end of 2026, and the club needs to resolve this pending issue quickly to avoid bigger problems. In the current season, Amuzu, wearing the number 9 jersey, has had a remarkable performance, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 32 matches. Last year, he scored five goals and had three assists in 33 games. His performance in Brazil brought him to the attention of the Ghana national team, although he was left out of the final list for the World Cup. Gremio now needs to act to regularize its financial situation and prevent Anderlecht from turning to FIFA to resolve the matter.
