Grêmio has announced its official lineup for the clash against Athletico-PR in the 14th round of the Brasileirão, featuring six significant changes and the implementation of a new tactical scheme. The match is scheduled for 8:30 PM at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, promising a strategic battle for the Tricolor Gaúcho.

The alterations to the Grêmio squad are notable compared to the team that faced Palestino in the Copa Sudamericana. Two of the changes are forced due to suspension: Viery and Carlos Vinícius, who received their third yellow cards, will be replaced by Wagner Leonardo and Braithwaite, respectively, in the starting formation.

In the defensive and midfield sectors, the coach opted to strengthen the team. Pedro Gabriel, who was rested in the Santiago match, returns to the full-back position, taking the place of Caio Paulista. In midfield, Nardoni earns a starting opportunity, replacing Dodi, who will be on the bench.

Grêmio's main tactical innovation is the adoption of a three-defender scheme, aiming for greater defensive solidity. For this formation, Balbuena was chosen to join the defensive line, replacing Willian, who played against Palestino. In attack, Enamorado comes in on the wing, occupying the position of Tetê, who started in Chile.

Thus, Grêmio will take the field with the following formation: Weverton in goal; Balbuena, Gustavo Martins, and Wagner Leonardo in defense; Pavon, Léo Perez, Nardoni, Gabriel Mec, and Pedro Gabriel in midfield; and the attacking duo of Enamorado and Braithwaite.

On the substitutes' bench, the coach will have several options for the course of the match, including Gabriel Grando, Kannemann, Luis Eduardo, Marcos Rocha, Caio Paulista, Willian, Dodi, Noriega, Zortéa, Riquelme, Tetê, and André Henrique, ensuring squad depth for Grêmio.
