Grêmio participated in an action to break the Guinness World Record for the most simultaneous embaixadinhas. The initiative was carried out in partnership with Terra FC, a campaign organized by Onda Solidária that uses football as a tool for environmental awareness. A total of 511 participants completed the task spread across Brazil, the United States, Mexico, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Faroe Islands. The old record was 459 people. The movement takes place at a time when the impacts of climate change on football are becoming more evident. According to the World Weather Attribution, from the Imperial College London, a quarter of the matches in the 2026 World Cup will take place under intense heat – with indices equal to or above 26°C on the WBGT scale, used to measure the combined impact of heat, humidity, and solar radiation on the human body. The list includes the match between Brazil and Scotland, scheduled for June 24 in Miami (USA). Álvaro Prange, Business Coordinator of the Football School, highlighted the importance of the action in partnership with Terra FC. "For Grêmio, through the School, it is very important to participate in a record that serves to alert to problems as significant as those related to climate change. With this initiative, we aim to help improve the community in which we are inserted and raise social and environmental awareness among our students and community". The action in partnership with Terra FC highlights the Club's commitment to socio-environmental issues, using football as a transformative agent in the construction of a conscious and committed society to the future.
